The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology is one of India's most respected universities, known for excellence in academics, innovation, and research. Established in 1992–93 by visionary educationist Achyuta Samanta, the institution began modestly and has grown into a global hub of multidisciplinary education.

The KISS is a global model of empowerment through education. Starting with just 125 students, KISS has grown into a movement serving tens of thousands of indigenous children across 62 tribal communities, offering holistic support in education, nutrition, sports, healthcare, and life skills.
As the world's first tribal Deemed to be University with NAAC A Grade and recipient of international recognition including the UNESCO International Literacy Prize, KISS has transformed lives while championing dignity, equality, and opportunity for marginalized communities.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta is an educationist and humanitarian who turned hardship into a mission to uplift society. With an initial fund of only five thousand rupees, he founded KIIT and KISS, both of which have grown into world class institutions in education and social development.
His work extends to healthcare, culture, sports, and rural development. Honored globally and known for humility and service, he continues to inspire millions through his vision of education, empowerment, and social transformation.
The Student Developer and Innovation Summit 2026, hosted by USC KIIT under the Department of Training and Placement, KIIT Deemed to be University, is a national flagship platform bridging academic knowledge with future industry demands.
The summit focuses on Game Development, RPA, and Machine Learning, delivering expert lectures, hands-on workshops, and live demonstrations for over a thousand innovators. A special workshop on cybersecurity automation SOAR equips attendees with the skills needed to combat digital threats through automated intelligence. A large-scale esports tournament forms a core attraction, showcasing how competitive gaming builds strategic thinking, agility, system level reasoning, and high performance decision making. The three day summit includes workshops, an algorithmic trading competition, a hackathon, and an internship fair that connects outstanding talent directly with recruiters.
